  1. Update about Stihl boots: Well it seems the ripped seam was not a problem why my feet were soaking wet, because I tried Tirol Juchten the other day and it was the same - soaking wet both feet. It was actually an extreme weather those days, around 0 °C.. wet snow on the ground.. wet snow on the trees and wet snow from the skies. After about 3 hours my both feet were soaking wet with Stihls and ca 4 hours with Juchten (water seeped inside of both feet almost instantly on both boots). Some of the threads on seams keep ripping, but now I am using seamgrip for that, so only the time will tell.. A lesson learned here - do not buy a boots with too many stitches. Other than that it is a light and comfy boots, going to wear them until they fall apart completely. P.S. I take a good care of anything that I wear and like, so you know that I do not destroy things on purpose, it is just tougher for anything you wear while working in the forest.
  2. Haix ? How much softer is the Fighters vs Juchten ?
  3. Which are quality brands then.. that will survive almost year-round use in a forest ?
  4. ..actually I cannot recommend them after using for about a month - a seam on the left boot (right side) is ripped and now water coming in... this is simply not acceptable for this price ! I work with a clearing saw in the forest. No, you cannot buy Stihls stuff online.
