Rich. Many thanks for your prompt reply. I agree Husky's can be a bit 'oily' but this one i think is a bit too much! To give you some idea of leakage...one full tank of oil doesn't last as long as one full tank of fuel:sad:.The oil is constantly dripping while the saw is in use. I dont mind replacing pump and connecting oil feed part, but the frustrating thing for me is not knowing which part has failed. Al '

Hi guys I have a Husqvarna 142 chainsaw which starts and runs a treat, but have a niggling problem with an oil leak from the pump area. I have strpped it down and inspected the pump and the rubberised feed tube but cannot find any damage or wear. I have also cleaned the bar channel and oil holes. When the saw is in use the chain is fed oil in the usual manner, ie fine splattering of oil from the bar/chain. The saw cuts fine but when i set it down between cuts oil drips from the underneath, yet no leaks when the saw is put away:confused1:..It just appears to be sending too much oil around the bar/chain. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Al
