  1. Will be doing this for sure, or erecting damned big barriers that will break any strimming activity including wrists that use them! I'm off tomorrow, so will be off to buy mulch to protect all my trees
  2. Sounds like i just need to let it be then......... Go against my instincts of trying to help - will prob just make things worse......
  3. Mad? I'm quietly seething..... He didn't get his tea cooked for him tonight and he's gone to bed hungry......... Joking aside, what is it with you men? He didn't want to admit what he'd done, then did so...... I quietly and calmly went to look...... I got quietly and calmly upset and he then got stroppy and hardly spoke to me since then....... Is it a guilt thing?? Lol! And honest Guv, I didn't do anything!
  4. I'd forgive my dogs doing this....... The other half? He's harder to forgive....... He should know better Thanks for this though, it does make me feel better.
  5. Excellent news....... Much better than I hoped for. What can I do to help it? Just keep it stable in winds etc?
  6. PS just to confirm, "Strimmer Man" is my other half........... For the time being anyway...........
  7. We have 7 dogs.......That won't be hard to arrange............ Lol
  8. Thanks for the giggles - I need it
  9. "Strimmer Man" was out........... Grrrrr....... He even admitted to it......... Then got hissy with me for throwing a fit.......... Deffo strimmer damage ........ Can I help it without bridge grafting? I see it mentions covering with polythene on this thread: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/tree-health-care/69982-experimenting-vasaline-3.html
  10. I came home from work this afternoon to be greeted with the attempted murder of one of my young plum trees............ I've looked into bridge grafting - would anyone suggest I need to go down this route with this wounded plum or should i just sit back and hope for the best? Is it likely to survive? Tomorrow I will be making safe all my other trees from the fiend who did this, or I'll be smashing the strimmer into smithereens....... Fingers crossed we'll be on speaking terms again tomorrow

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
