I picked them because of the reduced water availability and higher temperatures in the city centre. They are both evergreen and the strawberry tree has attractive bark.

Does anybody have any ideas of which trees would be best used in large planters in Manchester City Centre. In some places I am leaning towards Mediterranean plants like Arbutus andachnoides and Picea pinea. Other areas are too windy with a lot of shade which I am a little stuck on.

Even if you buy the vehicle theirs no guarantee that they will grant you the licence in the short term. I found having a suitable operators centre is essential before you submit an application. problem with doing it yourself "especially if you want it asap" is if you make a mistake or miss anything out on your application it has a knock on effect and will delay it even longer.

The van isn't much bigger than a transit. So would the operators centre big a big issue?

I was looking at a restricted licence cause once the lids out chippings are on my van they're mine. I will definitely ask for an interim licence cheers!
