Hi, I have a question regarding chainsaws, pot and pistons and was told your the guy to see, as you came recommended. Recently we have had both a top handle saw and ground saws dropping like flies, due to the piston failing inside the pot. In question is a ms260/1 and a top handled ms 200t. They are currently being looked at by a stihl dealer. The wear is typical to one side mostly (of the piston body) and this seems to be an occurring pattern, pointing at saws being run too lean. However the mixture that's added is always measured to a fill line, is there another possible reason this would happen, attached are some photos. Thank you for your time, as I can understand your a busy guy.
