Thats really clever. You must have had to be very careful turning that as I would have thought it would be very fragile.
Took a moment to realise what I was looking at.
yep they are a pain in the ass to turn it all about high speed and sharp tools

You must be pleased Alex. It's nothing if not original; well done.
i am pleased i sold one as soon as it came of the lathe and sold the key ring from last night

well i made a post yesterday showing a key ring i made out of pencils so today i tried to make a pen and this is the result
-
well today I thought i would have a go at making a ring that i saw on being made on a you tube video it was made of coloring pencils, so after i had finished making that i made a key ring from the left over pencils
first here is the ring

I get tick off by bad customer service, I had to ring parcel force today to enquirer about were my parcel that was on 24 hour express delivery that has not arrived 48 hours later so they put me thought to the Aldershot depot I started specking the the guy on the end of the phone and just as i was talking to him he hung up so I rang parcel force and asked to be put though and was told that i could not be put though even though i had just 10 mins ago been put though so they gave me the number and Then when i rang back and spoke to the same guy he tryed to say i hung up which ticked me off i asked him when tomorrow it going to be delivered 48 hour late tomorrow but he could not tell me i got very ticked off with them i gave up and rang the supplier to tell them to clam there money back.
I will never use parcel force to send anything

I can see that buying on line helps I had to buy new bearing for my workshop bandsaw the place I go to is about 40 mins away I know he is not the nearest or the cheapest but I know he will have the bearings I need in stock and if I need to have then sent they will be there next day
It the same with the supplier I use for drills I know if I need a obscure size they will ether have it or get it next day for me they are about 30 mins away but they will also send them next day delivery if I can't get there
I think the Stihl is not good as I know if I wanted a part an could not get to the dealer I would want it sent
