  6. So hear goes I dont know what you find so funny about someones ells equipment braking down but if it happened to you or when it happens to you you would not find it so funny Fuel filter is fine fuel pipe to carb nope not checked it yet Impulse line What is this??? Yes there is fuel in the tank Fuel tank vent, where will I find this??? Another thing I noticed is there is a little rubber hand pump that you press with your finger to prime it it just dose not fell as squishy as it should; sure there is fuel in it about half full And do these wee engines have lift pumps? How is the fuel supplied to the carb considering the tank is lower then the carb? Thanks The no so worker
  7. no mate 2 stroke oil as rated in the manual I would love to take it back monday morning for the man at the shop to have a look at but since I bought it from a catalog it going to be a bit of a pain so I though have a look at it myself but since I have no knolage of tidly little engines I though I would ask hear
  8. what about waste gear oil?
  9. I have a brand new saw taken spark off and there is no petrol on it taken filter out and seams to be clean
  10. Been thinking about making this up over the last few days and the only think I can think of holding the timber in the ground would be to cut the ends off and make them into posts and bang them into the ground since it is not my land to start putting wholes into the floor, has anyone got another idea?
  11. yes I totaly agree with the rape being the best lube oil there I guess if running WMO on its own i could always turn it up But having read all of this thread the only down side as far as the saw goes is the crap from the WMO clogging things up and the viscocity of the oil since my oil is all ready filtered this is not an issue I had a thought; I have some lard that has come off some waste vetable oil if I heat the lard up and mix with the WMO they might bond and hence I have a thicker oil
  12. Wow i did not know this I do a lot of work with waste engine oil and it dose soak through your boiler suite into your skin
  13. the next lot of WMO I will be getting will be centrefued
  14. my manual says do not use WMO (waste engine oil) use proper chain oil instead coz it knackers the oil pump since WMO and chain oil are bough mineral oils I cant see there being any difference Who hear has used WMO and what problmes did you find cheers The Worker

  16. Woodworks I dont think putting your chain into concreek is going to do it any good
  17. Woodworks what do you use at the bottom of your stack to stop the chain cutting into the floor and how wide did you make the frame in relation to your saw
  18. I will need to start early as I have jobs to do round the farm later in the day I had a battery saw it was crap! ater 5 mins of solid cutting the battery was flat even though it said 20 mins use 4hrs charge and they only do them in 10" blades very slow and under powered indeed
  19. OK I want to cut some timber up into logs with my chainsaw as quickly as possible idea is to stack all the timber up in one go and then cut the lot in one go any ideas on what I can make up for nothing like using tree branches

  21. Hi Got a little job in the country home owners ant there as its a holiday home for them posh area and dont want any complaints Like to star cutting at 6am but dont want to wake anyone up They have a field very large garden that wants doing at the bottom that is quite away from anyone but up near the house it ant to far from other houses Just wondered how away can you hear a chainsaw from Thanks
  22. Well I guess there ant that many of them coming off the production line otherwise the metal would of been melted in a mold not on a lath I dont know about getting it heat treated but I could certainly get a back street machine shop to find a lump of mild steel in there skip and cut it for 10/ 20 quid But I would need to know the length, diamitor of the drill and pitch and death of the thread
  23. your link is a 404 error page not found
  24. Sorry it was just the cone I was intrested in buying had a look on ebay and the prices are like 100 quid for a lump of metal (which I will not be spending) when you can buy a roughneck log splitter for 10 quid screw log splitter | eBay it would be cheaper to get someone with a lathe in a machine shop to make one up
  25. Stubby where did you get the shaft from?
