  2. I have to give them a figure based on all the damage with quotes for any work to be undertaken. That's why I was asking for advice. In an ideal world I'd do the work my self and pocket the cash:001_smile:
  3. agreed, that's where i got the £1000 replacement cost from and was shocked at the first replies price of £80! I think a lot of it is principal really, not on going around chopping peoples trees down.
  4. the house was up for sale last November, we took it off the market in the new year with a view to moving back in, circumstances changed and it's now back on the market again. Fancy making an offer?
  5. No, house went on the market this week.
  6. I am a landscape gardener and in my opinion the garden is in a far worse state than when they moved in. The fact that they didn't consult me on the tree and can't give a valid reason for removing the shrubs is what annoys me the most.
  7. This is the tree now and the damage to the border.
  8. They have butchered it about 2/3 of the way up the trunk and stuck a bird table on the remaining 1.5m stump. Also they have removed all the shrubs from the border by the house, leaving about 50% of the herbaceous perennials. I was thinking £1000 to fix all the damage would be a reasonable ball park figure.
  9. Evening all, My tenants have chopped down the tree in the picture at the house I rent to them. Can anyone identify it and give me a rough price to replace it as i will need to deduct this cost from their deposit. Thanks in advance.
