  1. Thanks mate but no a nees to know how to set up the adjusters at the throttle levet end the nuts and then the screw clamp position om the engine bare in mond this new cable has a spring also on the engine end instead of just a solid outer cable casing like the one i took off

So a tryes to replace my bosses throttle cabel as its stretched on the hrd 536 with a genuine cable so i fitted it but i cant get it adjusted properly so when i pull down on the control lever it shuts off which i cant get it to do the wire just bends up on the engine as if its to week to push the stop lever mechanism back tried everything

Think i found the problem lads took the exhaust of and it had something rattling round inside shook it and a shard of metal must have broke off inside and kept blocking the hole thus making the flat noise and cutting the engine lucky it didnt drop into the piston runs fine now sorted thanks for help any appreciatsd
  5. Il have alook at tht aswell mate it does sound like its something from the exhaust blocking it in someway i just dont know why its gor red sealant in the bolts amean its onky a 18 pretty new not much use by looks of it
  6. Il have a look mate i did notice it seems like the bolts to hold the exhaust on have been sealed in with the red gasket stuff dont think thats normall is it ?

A havent had much chance to look at it yet tho mate but the bloke said he put in a new plug with no change amean i fix stihl stuff myself and never heard a noise like this is doin lol its sound lyk as if you stuffed a rag in the exhaust for a few seconds lol maybe its a sheared flywheel key and its jumping out of timing ?

Jus bought a hs45 2018 hardleys used it starts fine revs out well then all of a sudden while revving it will kinda go quiet if tho its full bore its hard to say what it sounds like abit like if i held my finger over the exhaust to make it quieter its not a carb bog type sound but after this noise it usually dies but sometimes does it then still revs after it im stumped
  9. Hi i have a stihl fs 87 with a flexi shaft inside but it seems when i rev the strimmer it has lyk an awkward delayed twisting action not the usual tourque as if the spring inside was faulty lyk a rebound type of thing any one have any ideas please
  10. First one was chinese cheapo then other was bit better think it was farmertec or summit not sure if its chinese or not and yes piston was installed correctly
  11. Have fiddled with screws mate and it havent really tried featherin throttle tbh ts fires straight back up one gone off but bogs straights away again might have alook at the carbs pal thanks
  12. Tbh mate the first cylinder was a cheapo which plug threaded straight away then got a better one cant remeber name jus not stihl

Bought a seized ms 200t fitted a new cylinder piston gaskets ect it started straight away revs out fully until hot then decides to bog and die have replaced plug, fuel lines, implulse line also check its not nipped , tryed two diffrent carbs that have both been checked and cleaned out well saw was running fine before seizing really am stumped doin my head in all a can think of now is bad oil or blocked tank vent ? I have just took muffler off as heard they fill with carbon and causes bogging this one has no arrstor screen so ive split it and goin to clean it out aee if that works also could be crank seals but heard its rare for them sorry for long story haha thanks in advance
