  1. Hi Guys After doing an intensive short course with assessment on the old CS32 felling ticket and was wondering if anyone could recommend a top quality training provider, ideally within Lincolnshire/Yorkshire area but will travel further afield for quality recommendations. Appreciate any feedback cheers Daz

  3. Hi guys. Great thread started for beginners like myself Adam thanks. Im looking for some advice on rope to buy?? I'm just over halfway through level 2 arb and forestry at Riseholme in lincoln and looking at getting a kit so I can practice climbing in my spare time. I've decided on my harness but need advice on rope. My instructor says New England are a safe bet so been looking at the high vee, problem i got is im looking at buying it over the next coupla days and with it being half term i cant ask my instructor so the question i got is what length 36 or 45m and spliced eye or not?? Plus does anybody out there know where you can go practice climbing around the north Lincolnshire area. Cheers Daz. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  5. hi guys, just signed up on arbtalk as im after some expert advice. im halfway through level 2 arb at college and looking at buying my 1st harness so i can go practice climbing more as we only climb 1 day a week at college. i use a skylotec kilobri at college as after trying the ones available to me there which include a dragonfly, weaver, willans, petzl seqoia the skylotec was the best for me cause of my size (im 5 foot 9 and 16 stone with chunky thighs ) and with the wide back support and wide leg loops i found this one suits me best. so was looking at buying one of the new kilobri click ones. i have around £250 saved up at the minute as the kilobri click costs around £268 inc vat at fr jones and sons but for another £30 i could buy a treemotion harness which seems to be the one everybody is raving about. ive tried on a treemotion n had a hang about in it in the shop and it gave me the support i needed but ive not actually climbed in one. just wondered what you guys think?? sorry its a bit long winded but hope you can help. cheers daz
