  1. Please, are you some sort of maniac? I would never go back to stihls petty build quality after using such a mind blowing piece of kit such as the makita saw. Makita are the saws you want to be using If you are a professional, anything else and your obviously yet another cowboy
  2. Personally I feel that stihl can no longer compete with patently higher quality saws such as makita on the market.
  3. To my surprise i actually have two 090's, both in outstanding condition, still won't sell them though, maybe try buying a new saw, as these are more readily available on today's market.
  4. I use the tree motion, I wouldn't recommend it though as it is less than adequate in my opinion. Your best option is to speak to someone who does not own a tree motion, and maybe consider asking someone who owns a different type of harness.
  5. I have both of these saws, sadly I'm not selling them. Maybe I will some day, but its most Likely I won't.
  6. Dear mr climbing aviator, it is patently obvious to my good self that ' bling ' shinies and anodised crap are the most important features in your pony climbing and rigging kit. One needs to sit down and have a complete reality check, before this obsession gets totally out of hand and begins to take over, sadly I suspect it could be to late.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
