Thank you Some people on here were giving me the impression they wanted to convict me just for asking a question! And if anyone feels it was mistake for me to ask this on an open forum, then whatever, the mistake could have been far greater if I hadn't! I now also have two colleagues that witnessed my refusal.

I'd also like to thank people for their advice... even though a few of you actually made me feel quite sick with worry; and sleep for all of 2 hours last night.

UPDATE! Good news! The trees are alive and well and still there! I questioned the TPO status, CA status, reminded him of the consequences, the fines and respectfully refused to do it. He was fine about it, didn't go mad, just let me get on with some gardening. I'm actually pretty shocked, It was a win on every possible level as far as I'm concerned. The trees live, I have a job and I actually feel quite proud of myself!

James91, new account, I wasn't going to keep you updated, but figured I probably should. Literally feel sick I'm that worried about tomorrow, but I've made my mind up: If he hasn't checked, I'll check, If they cant give me an answer, I'm going to refuse, if he fires me, so be it.
