  3. He oil level is ok, an my friend is a mechanic he has done the work for me an were both out of ideas bar the diesel pump timing, everything looked fine and everything went smoothly with the head, it's not that much if a complicated engine to go wrong! that's what is driving me mad
  4. No not a turbo and no nothing coming out of the breather pipe! Could the diesel pump timing be out even though it's not been touched?
  5. How do I see how much back pressure it has? What confusing me is it was running fine before I did the head no black smoke no running on? Surely if it's knacked pistons etc the problem would be occurring beforehand? Thanks
  6. I have a pain in the arse of a kwik chip euroline 160 with a 3 cylinder perkins diesel It was overheating but running normal without any other problems bar the overheating, so after the usual problem of cleaning the rad I thought I would do the head gasket Removed the head, new gasket, had head skimmed an tested for fractures put it back together. Now it has started plooming black/grey smoke for the exhaust and running on after key has been turned off! Had injectors reconned as thought it may be over fuelling, still has problem! I'm assuming it's running on oil? Checked with perkins parts man which I got head gasket from and he's certain it's the correct one! I'm stuck for ideas! Can anyone help?! Thanks
  7. Thanks for the help! Has it not done the head gasket from overheating? Not sure whether to do a head gasket on it just incase? What exhaust have u put on it? Cheers
