  1. Its the absence of a natural predator to control their numbers that is the cause of the Greys being a pest rather than their origin. Reds were culled in the past because gamekeepers had killed off most of their natural predators. It's balance that is needed for the Grey, so love them or hate them we should still shoot them and eat them.
  2. If the work has to be done with a chainsaw are the managers aware that you should not use a chainsaw above shoulder height? Pruning height will be somewhat limited. Unless a little platform is carried from tree to tree! Like the ones used in supermarkets to stack shelves.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
