    Due to circumstances beyond my control,i have been unable to respond , however without reverting to a duel to the death,you could be right and you could be wrong.Husky did market the 365 as an xp in some markets i believe, but then i am probably wrong as is often the case,
  3. Chestnut,would be my least favourite to burn,Alder grows in boggy ground and is very high in water content,great when dry.Quickest way to dry wood is to take the bark of when freshly cut and leave uncovered outside,or in a building that only has aroof

    I am not really concerned about the designation of the 365XP, but it does exist, and i have one, it has done a lot of work, and i mean a lot, so the chinese fakes cant be to bad lol

  11. Buy british,i agree if it had been 30 years ago,when made in britain was made in britain,but the <managers>failed to look to the future,could not compete with overseas competition,so the politicians carved it up and sold it off.I run a defender Td5 and a Ford ranger neither are British

They all burn,douglas fir,scots pine,european larch/jap, closed fire/stove,intense heat produced by most dry softwood,sitka spruce,does not last long,look at the growth rings,closer together the better the burn and length of burn,i:e Highland grown european larch/scots pine could be described as [hardwood] colder the climate,the denser the wood.every different species of timber has specific burning qualities.It is always good to remember that when we sit round the campfire we exchange the energy that the sun gave the tree, that gave us the wood,that warms our bodies
