  2. Hi all, I've never attempted splicing friction hitches but thought I would try starting with beeline. You'll have to excuse me if I'm trying to reiterate points already made but I'm finding it a tad tricky to get my head around. Am I right in thinking 10mm beeline should be two locking brummels, with the cover still on? Pushing your fid through the cover and core? Also what length of a bury do I need? grog's knots states 72 times the diameter of the rope but that seems excessive. Cheers
