Had any one used the husky 3120xp saw? Been offered one by a friends grandad for £600 with an Alaskan Mill, 42" bar 36" bar and loads of ripping chains and normal chains.
Think the saw is 2007/8 and he says it's had less than 15 hours use.
Cheers

I'm in 2 minds about 441 and 460 at the moment as you can stick so many different bars on them. Is a 660 bit over kill tho weight wise?

I looks really good colour aswel. I think I may have figured out what it was that knackered the saw. Think I put a bit of petrol in the tank then realised that it was petrol not 2 stroke then filled it up with mixed 2 stroke, instead of tipping the tank out and filling up fresh fuel. Very bad error on my part

I'm pretty good with my mixing to be fair and use a stihl measuring cup. It's a 2 year old saw

They said it had over heated due to wrong fuel mixture and badly scored the pot and piston

Not a good day just had a call from the dealer and the pot and piston scored up badly RIP 550xp
Now comes the question what to replace it with?

Yeah I have thought about thar L30hub. Dropping it off saturday morning to my dealer. Fingers crossed it's not a pot and piston. I don't use it everyday and it's only me that uses it

Went to use it today and it just won't start at all being a right pig. Plug was brown as normal but didn't seem to be getting fuel so may have issue going to ring jonsie tomorrow and send it in for work

Morning all
Having problems with my husqvarna 550xp saw. Started running rough few weeks back and now it won't idle just cuts out and is a pain to start again once it's stalled. Rang jonsie and got told to reset the carb memory or something but the thing they told me to do didn't work. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please the saw is just over 2 years old and been good for me but beginning to wind me up now
Thanks

Hi guys
So I finally got to use my recently bought husqvarna 3120xp the other day on a 24" bar with .404 chain. What an absolute animal saw!!!!
Touch heavy when off the floor with it but never the less definitely keeps you on your toes!! Best investment to date
