  3. Straight away I thought is your boss selling up? Does he have a client list? If you can get his client list you basically have a start for a business. If it is available then you should be offering money for client bank, equipment or his work number for yourself. Hopefully you can get something.

Yes you can claim for your truck from a year ago.

  4. Mainly looking for Ground work on a self employed basis around Essex/Suffolk. Anything considered from a few days a week to full time. Although I have 17 years Climbing experience I am just looking for ground work. Im basically waiting for a UA5 course so If I can help you while I wait and earn some money too then send me a pm . If Pushed of course I can climb the odd day also.

    Regards Paul

  5. If you are coming in Green then your first 2 courses should be Emergency First Aid 1 day course about 70 quid and NPTC Chipper which is 200 ish with assessment. You will get groundwork with these tickets and they are 1 day each, quick, easy and fairly cheap.

See if you like the job then go on to Chainsaw cs30/31 . I say this because the chainsaw course is around 700 with assessment which is alot if you find out you hate the job .

  6. Not sure you would get carpel tunnel in such a short frame time unless you increased a problem that was already there. Are you in IT?

It is not white finger that takes a long time to develop 10 years +. Its either your hands are not used to the vibration of the saw or you have slight carpal tunnel already.

I had carpel tunnel through saws and the pc and I went private and had steroid injections, one on each wrist. That was about 10 years ago and i not had any problems since so its not the end of the world. Failing that a operation which takes 40 mins to an hour and can be done under GA will totally resolve CTS.

Copper bracers help alot if your in pain now.

Keeping your saw sharp is a must too :) Hope this helps :)
