Can't see from the pics whether there is mid span support under the lateral load bearing planks. Are you confident it won't bow and put stress on the rest of the structure. What about cross bracing, will it resist torsion, or a sideways load such as wind for instance? What have you done roof wise to keep the watery stuff out?

Have you thought of a good second hand Leica by chance, optics are top notch. I like the range finder look. Fuji do an excellent pro looking range finder very similar to the red dot.

I'm going to be using in anger soon, but just taking trial photos I'm very happy with the outcome. I bought the body separate and a f1.4 25mm Leica/Panasonic prime. I'll let you know when I've processed the results.

I've just bought an Olympus OMD E5, it's a mirror less micro four thirds, so lighter in weight which is great for travel. Crop of 2 but great performance, lots of lenses available too.

I've been re reading a previous chestnut thread and I'm totally confused. On the one hand it's said that sweet chestnut is good, seasons reasonably well within 12 months, but horse chestnut is a bugger, takes much longer and is a bigger to split with grain running in all directions. What's 3T in terms of M3 roughly?

Is it sweet or horse, what quantity?

If using concrete posts, do you have to have gravel boards to keep the fencing panels off the dirt? Or can you somehow suspend the fence panel (there's a brick wall behind and I'd prefer to see part brick)?

Hi likeitorlumpit, yeah they look good too. One question I have is this, original post will be concreted in. So with my fencing spade, I'm just going to hit the original concrete. How can I go deep enough without digging out the original mound?

Mowingjamie, so what do you do, you pour concrete in a hole where you want the post then bolt a metal post holder to the concrete and bolt the post to the metal box thing. Is that it? You haven't got a picture have you?

Thanks guys, recycled plastic fence posts 100 x 100 x 3600 are £32 each but should last. Do you concrete in as for a concrete post, I guess you do.
