OK. I cannot go into commercially sensitive details concerning the nature of the business at this stage. What I can tell you is this: Every customer buying into the scheme will require an initial load of wood chips for their garden. Then, every year they will require more and this will go on and on year by year. Some customers will be buying land or using the land they have already for the idea. This may be a lot of land or a small plot depending upon how far they wish to go. Most will be home plots though, at least, to start with.
It is envisaged that some will become wholesale buyers of wood chips and then resell them to our customers later, thus establishing another branch of their business. Each customer, large or small will be setting up their own business but not as a franchise, purely on their own account. Each of these small businesses will trade with the others on many levels.
Because economic times are tough and there is not much money around, it is vital that the people entering this scheme keep their costs down. Hence the need for free delivery of their initial loads of chips. Once they start earning they will need less in the way of wood chips and can start buying from you guys, the smaller amounts they need and by the bag.
There are many strands to this idea, including the concept of a new way of managing land to cut down on fertilisers and weed control chemicals so it is very eco friendly. As I have said, this is based upon techniques which have been proven to work in the States and later, when I can release more information, I will make this information generally available. First though, I personally have to prove the concept so that I can show people how it works with a real world demonstration. I will be using the small plot I have as my garden at home to do that. Customers will be able to visit and see the scheme in action rather than just read about it. Once they do, they will know it is not a scam of any kind and they can do the same thing themselves.
It would seem to me that it is all of our interests to help them do this because it will create a market for all of us. Now, if you are able to shift all you create by selling it by the load or by the bag, then clearly this is not for you. However, if you are too busy, lack the resources, or cannot shift enough of the wood waste you make, then this becomes a viable option for you, it would seem. It maybe that I have misjudged the situation you guys are in and if so, please do put me straight and I will rethink it.
If you want to help then please contact me and if you have any questions that I an answer without giving away the whole plan, then I will be happy to try and answer them.
