Hello Chris,

Thank you for taking the time to message me.

*I'm not concerned about location in the UK. *I do not have a work visa yet

* I'm unfamiliar with the qualification that are necessary for UK tree workers. I have a certificate from the ACRT of a completed urban forestry course and a B Faller card from the US Forest service

* I don't think I would qualify as a lead climber. I climb a little bit every winter between fire seasons for under the table jobs and still just use a split tail with a blakes hitch. (I can still pull myself up a tree pretty quick with this system and haven't been able to justify a more expensive one) Companies seem to be looking for three years of climbing experience to qualify as a lead climber I just don't have experience working around power lines so i'm not sure if id be the right fit for your company

If you were looking for more of a apprentice position Id be your man. I'm a fast learner and a tenacious worker. Again thank you for time

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place. If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom, then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
