  1. Thank you very much, it is most helpful and I am sure for other possible future issues . It is very much appreciated
  2. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone can help me please . I have just cleaned and rebuilt the carb on a FS131 R that I bought secondhand as it was running a bit roughly. I cant find anywhere online how many turns out the H & L screws should be as a starting point ( I did count when I took it apart But who knows what had been done to it beforehand) and also what the max RPM’s should be . If you can help it will be very much appreciated. All the best Tom
  3. I have just had the same problem on my logic. I found this web page: Route6x6.com - 6 and 8 wheel ATV how to's - Vanguard Carburetor Cleaning I followed the steps in the pictures and left some mechanic in a bottle in the carb over night before refilling the tank and starting it up. While the tank was off I also drained it compleatly and let it dry out and cleaned it out as much as possible. It now runs the best it ever has since I've had it. Hope it helps.

    Disco 2 tyres

Hi guys, Getting ready for the bad weather and the disco needs some new rubber. Going to go for a set of all terrains , at the moment its fitted with Pirelli 255 65 R16's I'm leaning towards a set of cooper discoverer AT3's in 255 70 R16 as the reviews on google are quite good and the price is not too bad. Anyone know if this slightly bigger size fits with no rubbing, & also is anyone using the coopers and how do you find them. Many thanks Tom
  7. Thanks for the replies , think I'll get myself one of those chisels and maybe an auger bit for the cordless drill, I'm sure it will be a bit neater than my last attempt
  8. Hi guys, Has anyone tried using a carving bar for notching out straining post to fit struts. I was doing it today with a standard 14" bar and got wondering if it would be any more accurate with a carving bar ? May thanks

    Stihl 039 carb

Hi Guys, I have an old 039 (1996) . It hasn't done much in recent years and when I used it last week it seems to be running rougher than normal. I have ordered a carb kit and new fuel line and filter . Would it be worth me changing the impulse line while i have the carb off and if so is that a very difficult thing to do ? Many Thanks Tom
  10. Nice one, thanks very much.
  11. Evening chaps, I wonder if someone can give me some help please, I have taken the carb off of my old bg55 blower to clean it and put a diaphram kit in it. Would anyone know what the factory settings are on the low and high screws are when they put back in ?. Many thanks Tom
  12. Nice one Bob, Thanks very much Tom
  13. Hi Guys, I have a 2004 mk2 Ford ranger 2.5 Diesel. It is for sale at the moment and I have been asked a few times "what make engine is in it" . I always thought it was made by Mazda as it is the same as a B2500 . Would anyone know if I am right as I'm not having a lot of luck searching the web Many Thanks Tom
  14. Thanks for the replies. I was leaning towards the rsl one because of the blade on the back . But now I am im not sure. Would a standard single shank type be as effective without the blade?
  15. Hi guys, Has anyone used a ripper tooth on a mini digger for pulling out stumps/ roots I have a 3 ton Kubota with a thumb attached and I have quite a few roots to clear. I've Been looking online at the rsl root ripper and digbits make one also. Just wondering if they work better than a narrow bucket before I order one. Thanks in advance, Tom
