  1. Hi, I have the next few weeks free, so I am available to do grounding work should anybody in the Leeds/Braford area need an extra hand. I have CS30, 38 and chipper tickets. I'm also happy to do mowing, strimming, assiting with surveying etc. Contact me on 07919258594 or 01274 983416 if you are interested. Thanks Alex Barnes
  2. Also, I would very much appreciate some advice to help improve my chances of finding some work, five months without a job is quite disheartening . So far I have rang as many companies as I can find, sent out copies of my CV and try to keep an eye on Arbtalk & Arbjobs etc. I would love to get other tickets, like CS31 and CS39, but unfortunatly I can afford to as I've just brought a house. Many Thanks in advance to anybody who replies Regards Alex
  3. Hi, I am looking for any kind of work that might be available, be it full-time, part-time or as and when. I don't mind what kind of work it is; grounding, climbing, mowing, assisting with surveying, woodland managing etc. I have CS30, CS38 and wood chipper tickets, as well as a lv3 Dip in Forestry and Arboriculture. I have two years experiance on the job and can provide a CV with references if requested. I have my own PPE, climbing kit, groundsaw and top-handle saw. I moved to the Bierley (near ASDA on the A6177) area of Bradford in December and I have my own car. I consider myself a hardworking and reliable individual who likes a challenge. Regards Alex Barnes (07919258594)
  4. Hi, I have recently moved to Bierley in Bradford and I'm looking for work, either part time or full time as a groundsman and/or trainee climber. I am an honest, reliable and hardworking individual and can work on my own initiative. I currently have CS30, CS38 and chipper tickets, and I am planning to get CS31 and CS39 in the not too distant future. I have a level 3 diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture from Reaseheath College in Cheshire, as well as two years experiance working with a tree surgeon. I can send my CV on request, which includes other qulaifications and referances. I am also interested in gaining expereiance in consultancy and woodland management, particualry in creation and implementing of management plans. Hope to hear from somebody soon, thanks
  5. Hi all, I will be moving to the Leeds area within the next month as my girlfriend has got a lecturing job in the area. Recently I have graduated from Reaseheath College with a level 3 diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture. I have CS30, CS38 and chipper tickets and I'm looking at doing CS31 and CS39 in the future. I also have my own climbing kit that is all Loler-ed. I can send a copy of my CV and a covering letter if required Many Thanks Alex Barnes
  6. Hey guys, thanks for all of the advice, a lot there to take in. I've finally decided to go for the tried and tested 346xp, reason being I've used one quite a lot and have a good feel for the saw. I'll probably go for 550xp (or 560xp) in the future. College is finishing in a couple of months, looking forward to the wide world (again!) and getting my saw
  7. Hi, my names Alex and I'm studying Forestry and Arb at Reaseheath College. I shall be graduating in a few months and during my time at college I've been saving up to buy a chainsaw once I graduate. While I've been working for an Arb company to gain experience in industry, I've found myself favouring the 346xp over the ms260, it just feels better and more wield-able (not sure if thats a word) than the ms260. A couple of weeks ago, a guy from Buxtons and Husqvarna came to college to lets us have ago with some new kit, including the 550xp, which I was quite impressed with. I'm not sure whether to go for the 346xp, as it's tired and tested and I get on with really well or go for 550xp which is new and feels just as useable as the 346xp. Any opinions, advice or recommendations would be a great help
