  1. Using Husky oil, but after cleaning bar in petrol and just letting oil lubricate nose wheel, I haven't had anymore problems. Probably a total of 20+ hours cutting.
  2. No worries on the oil delivery, when first running, I always hover just above a piece of timber for 30 seconds or so to check for oil spray. Leaving a nice trail. Ran a total of six hours today, and no problems.
  3. Okay, washed the bar out with Petrol, dried out and oiled up to help the initial start up. Now done 4 hours of crosscutting. mainly Ash and Silver Birch with no problems. Not going to grease that bar end sprocket ever again......
  4. Does make me wonder if greasing is necessary, although you'd imagine that Husky wouldn't put the grease holes there and state in the manual to grease if they didn't consider it necessary. However, Stihl don't!
  5. Two week old Husky 450e with 18" bar. I grease the nose sprocket with red sprocket grease about every third or fourth fill of fuel and for the second time in two days, the bar nose sprocket is jammed solid after a couple of hours of work. I have to strip the bar down and dig around the sprocket removing loads of crud before it starts spinning up again. Never had any issues with my old Stihl (no grease hole so didn't need to grease up) Was I wrong in following Husky's advice on greasing and shouldn't have bothered? Or is there something I'm doing wrong here guys?
