  1. So thanks for the replies - I can see how dangerous tree surgery is and how the ability of being able to cut a branch off a tree means that you are still not completely skilled in arb, and able to complete all the aspects of the work. I am still not able to figure out if I can do this as an extra income, which could eventually take over my main job? I am very aware of the financial commitment to starting a business and full-filling the customers expectations, and looking after my safety.
  2. What would you say the rates of pay are for someone just starting if I did get a job with a tree firm? Its not a bad idea, tho I did want to do it only 2 days a week for extra income?
  3. Hi thanks - its my first post here . . . I was looking to train for the basic certificates for entry into the arboreal industry and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for where I can get the training I need to get the various cs 30/1/2 38 and 39, as i was looking to start my own business? I was after a place where I could do "intensive" training for a week or something similar, and also a competitive (cheap!) price for these? I have looked at the BASE website and was wondering of any other providers in the area? Any help would be great -thanks!
