    Redwood

    I have taken down a redwood yesterday using a crane and now have it in storage. I personally don't have any use for it but it's a cracking bit of timber. If anyone is interested please let me know the timber is in the midlands. Here's a couple of pics. I will get some measurements over the next couple of days
  9. The crane drive reckons we had about 7 ton but we had to lift it off and think there is about 9

  13. sequoiadendron giganteum I have taken one of these down today using a crane. The tree is cut into lengths and now been stored ready for selling. The tree itself was only about 70ft tall but it has got amazing red and black coloring through the centre. I have not been on here for a long time so this is the start of my selling process. It's a beaut bit of timber some of the lengths are about 12ft long and 4-5ft wide. I will get exact measurements tmr. If anyone is interested can you please contact me on nick.dearden@langleyarb. I'm in no rush to sell so when it's convenient. The wood is stored near Wellingborough Northants.

  17. Once a tree has been killed by the fungus, does anyone know if Ganoderma will survive on dead wood or will it still live off the dead wood?

  19. Can anyone tell me if, a tree trunk with ganoderma is felled and moved to lets say 1/2 mile away and is placed next to some mature trees, will the fungi spread?
