Anyone been to kingswood training center

did a combination course up there in may/june this year. Excellent set up and instructors and its a cracking course to do. The instructors we had were jim,andy and richard they all have at least 20 years experience each and are extremely knowledgable. Well worth getting down to the arb show down there in july for a look and meet the guys down there, you won't be disappointed. -
well after a week of climbing and a few rescues i've decided to put my assessment on hold to get a bit more experience, I need to be absolutely sure of what i'm doing before i do it. I have nailed the theory side and i know what to do in the tree (when i'm on the ground) but i'm just not good enough on the knots and selecting anchors and stuff so my 38/39 is on hold so i can build up more experience, kinda annoyed that i started a course and couldn't finish it but i just need a bit more experience

Hi I'm doing a business studies for tree surgeons thing on my course at KTS and i don't know what the business differences are between domestic tree work and commercial tree work. I've been trying to find out on the internet but not coming up with much. The most i can gather is that domestic clients pay at the end of the job and commercial clients pay monthly or quarterly. Does anyone know any other differences?

I did my 30/31 after the first 5 days of this course with assessment on the monday after the weekend, bit tough but i managed it, Then did stumpy and chipper tickets and 3-4 days of work experience and a business studies project all this in 4 weeks, If i'm not ready for the climbing assesments i can hold them in the bank and come back and do them later ( but i'm competitive and want to do them next week)

Hi guys doing an intensive climbing course, got 6 days climbing then cs 38,39 on the 7th day, I'm two days in and i reckon i'm doing ok so far. all i need to do is speed up a little and build up my confidence. Confidence is the easy the easy bit i just need to learn the knots and i'll be fine (i don't mind being up there just not sure what i'm doing up there) The hard part is speeding up. any tips on speeding up a little?? I'm doing big thrusts to get my prussik up as high as i can but by the time i get up there i'm knackered, What kind of fitness do i need to work on to improve?? i'm ok at running and weightlifting but need to shift a few stone which i'm sure climbing will do anyways cheers for any feedback i get

haha yeah i suppose that bit went right for me, to be honest i thought i'd failed. Did my chipper today, so only stumpgrinding and climbing to do now

cheers i passed it in the end but it was murder, everything that could've went wrong did go wrong however i ended up passing it so i'm chuffed. Just got to practice lots now

feedback was good, few mistakes here and there but nothing major, not struggling with the practical side, just the theory seems overwhelming, its like putting 10lbs of chippings in a 4 lbs bag

got my cs30/31 assesment tomorrow and i'll be honest i'm kinda kakking it, any last minute help/ tips??? I've learned the stuff but there is so much of it and i'm worried i'll have a brain fart

Don't really have a work plan as yet, i've been looking into a few companies (large and small) for a bit of work experience. been helping some of the lads at my work (they are chainsaw operators doing ground clearance work) i got a few grand from work to spend on a course of my choice and i chose this type of work. I've been gearing all my personal development towards becoming a paramedic, so this is a my next challenge, i have all my hgv, and some good medical qualifications, and i love being outdoors in any weather so this seemed like something i could use in this line of work to

Hi, I'm booked on a kingswood training services course and i was just wondering what i should do after that course. I'm doing their combination course, the one that has the climbing and equipment usage. I was just wondering what do i do after that? i'm new to this line of work so any suggestions would be great
