  1. Hi Mr F,

     

    I hired Wyn last year to do mine. We had him for two days & just managed to do a 18 tonner load (made about 30 full bags after settling & moving them about) & there was me, my lad (who worked his ass off) & Wyn. My lad was passing the logs into the machine, the Wyn operated it with me sorting blockages & handling the feed conveyor & changing the bags. I would build a frame to hold the bags fully open or whilst the forklift is taking the filled bag away you either have to stop or have the logs on the floor. Roughly you are changing a bag every 20 mins at full pelt. Wyn is old school in his work & is worth every penny. I would recommend having 3 people on the job for max output. I would also allow 3 days to do your lorry load. That said we were doing 7" logs so that does mean more cut than larger logs.
