But the end recipient interfered with the contract between supplier and courier and agreed their own acceptable conditions
Totally agree with this statement
seems like the OP wants to blame someone for his cock up if you get any courier to leave it in a safe place "define safe place" a book leave it by the dustbin but 2 grands worth of gear and you get robbed your a mug and lets start playing the blame game
why should the supplier be blamed or DPD

Extend it up with ball stop netting nice and light hardly any wind resistance
you might have to upgrade corner posts for straining wires and extend the others as intermediate supports

Even £65 is quite a lot for me at the moment. Cheap's relative...
buy a new pair if your worried
your easy find £65
if your self empolyed add £10 to the next 7 jobs
if your PAYE get your employer to buy you a new pair and pay them back £10 a week
or get your girlfriend to pay for them it was her fault and requires further training with the washing machine

Hi pressure wash it down, let it dry and give a coat of quick drying metal primer then 2 coats of metal shield black paint. hope this helps
ps ex RM
use ordinary metal primer and go back in a years time and watch it all peel off
use the proper galvanised primer or your in trouble it will peel
some good advise has already been given

Who issues these? If it's the council I would expect them to know exactly what it is and where I would acquire one from.
council issue them
just look up the relevant local council and go to permits
it will probably be in with the likes of skip permits traffic management permits
materials on the road permits
-
permit to work on or over the highway required
google it there's plenty of info

So we have a 2013 Crew Cab Transit tipper... This one..
I don't suppose anyone has a cage they don't need any more to fit... the body is the standard factory fit (ingimex i believe)...?
Cheers...
check the weight of the truck with crew and kit first
one of ours not crewcab but has a roller shutter box and cage
2 crew and kit comes in at 2840kg = 660kg payload

front him up about being a dickhead
if the disabled bay is unused tell him to use it
or your going to get the council to remove it
if he reckons he's not disabled enough to use it
give him a good kicking and make him proper disabled
only joking

forstner bit
even better to use if you have a drill press or pillar drill
buy a decent make not a cheapo silverline type

The foot bridge was slightly lower than others but the Lorry only came on at the previous junction
the bit over the hard shoulders always looked lower than the main carriage way bit
maybe the lorry would have cleared it if he was on the main carriage
the one on the A21 kept getting spanked until they took it down and changed it

Hi, as a highways op i would offer 1 piece of advice, 1 m strips at the side of houses on estates like this are sometimes called a "service strip" and are exactally that, all of the utilities run through there. It is classed a highways land, not council land, so u should check with the highways dept of your council, we have been instructed to remove fences and walls residents have built on this land (like you wish to) as its highways land. Of course this may not be the case at all, but beware. If u mess with highways land and they dont like it they will issue prohibition notices and charge you to put it back to spec.
even better when the home owner thinks its their land and we get to put a flail through it
hack it back and make it look a right mess

lesson learnt for custom made stuff get the money up front or at least enough to cover your time and materials
can they not be turned down to make a smaller standard size skittle
you might want to disregard the last comment as i know FA about skittles or wood turning

they just have round ends on them unless you do a chuck up proper tight with a chuck key and give it a little tap with a hammer their going to slip in the chuck better off with the 3 sided ones they dont slip
dont bother cleaning them spray them with a little oil and run them through some scrap timber that will clean the rust off

That's a good idea! Unfortunately they're literally right on the surface..
So, I'm trying to create a level surface at the top of a tiered garden, going up with a 6 inch wall on the out side edge and down with a wall which will step down from 10 inches to about 4 along the inside edge.
Thanks for the input guys
Don't fanny about with footings and brickwork for something that high use some railway sleepers on edge
drill a few holes through them and pin them with some road pins or rebar
if the roots push the sleepers up in years to come take it out notch it refit it
better than cracked pushed up brickwork

Digging down 10 inches max. But for most of the wall 4 to 6 inches. Had another look today, the trees at bh have a diameter no larger than 5 inches. Found an equation that says 4 times the circumference = safe to dig. That's 152 cm so puts most of the digging in the green. There is one tree with 8 inch dbh with a couple of surface roots which will have to go. They are approx. 1 inch diameter - my only concern
if their below ground level concrete 150mm away from them either side and put a small concrete lintel over them
out of interest how high is the retaining wall
dpd scam
