Back end oil leak on valtra 8100. Coming front right under cab, running down fuel tank and coming out where prop meets gearbox. is a small intermittent leak, mostly little drip, sometimes continuos, sometimes nothing, everything working fine, and still using machine daily for timber extraction. Can not see where its coming from, so am asking if i can undo bolts and lift cab just by an inch or two to have a look, been told it maybe an oil seal on pto drive, or something to do with clutch or delta powershift that may mean splitting machine, hoping its something simple, but needs to be sorted. Any advice welcome Cheers Tom

Thats the filter i've been considering, reminds me of the pancake filters i used to have on my old mini. Will need new top cover. Seems USA saws come with heavy duty filters as standard, are we missing out on something?

Recently bought a husky 576xp original air filter lasted about 4 weeks before breaking, replaced with similar mesh filter, seems fine at the moment, just wondered what the benefits of a heavy duty filter are? or if any 1 uses them?I'am a cutter using the saw 8 hours a day. It's not an auto tune model.

I was getting £15/pt on a recent coppice site plus £500 a hectare, was low diameter and some parts were just hazel. Was cutting 4t a day and 1/2 a hectare a week. Just moved to forestry commission site, nice beech, easy felling £8/pt, booking out 10/12 tonne a day. All own kit, own fuel etc

Lost count the amount of times this guy walks under this tree. Might need to mute it when they fast forward it.

8500 hours on machine, leaking from somewhere higher but running down to where prop meets gear box.
Was thinking about leaving cab mounting bolts in at front and only lifting from the back only by a few inches, maybe disconnect pto link
