  1. HI ANDY have you any pics of snow ANDY SORRY MARK:thumbup1: ONLY 2 DAYS OFF THEN ON THE LOGS THANKS JON

Hi jon at the moment the snow doesn't seem to be able to stay, It snows for a couple of days then it warms up again, this time 3 years ago there was over a metre of snow and minus 30

  2. I've just finished, fly to the UK tomorrow for a funeral back to Finland on sunday then chilling out with wife and kids, it all depends on how deep the snow is whether I carry on with clearing saw if its to deep I have work with snowmobile collecting some tree lengths for a customer.

  3. Hello Andy. Have ran all mentioned saws. If you're looking at 261 or 362 and plan to use 18", then the 362 would be best. We've had 18" 0.325 set on the 50cc and it does turn it, but it is noticeably slower than the 18" 3/8 set up on the 362. The 60cc saws seem a pretty good all round size when on 18".

By the way, have run a 362 once on a 24" set, and it was bit like using 18" on the 50cc. Don't know if Finland uses semi or full skip chains, if you can get this you could probably run 24" ok. What species out there where you are?

    Cheers, John.

Hi logan thanks for thr info, the 3 main type's of trees are birch, pine, spruce, then the rubbish alder, pop, as for the saw I think a 261 with a 16 inch will be fine because when working in the forests if its to big I can leave it, I don't do domestic

  4. No it's ok really and not offended, if you like new stuff that's fine but the newer stihls are no were near as good as the older ones. All I can say is if you pm me and let me know how much you willing to pay for a 260 I don't mind biding for you on e-bay. May b a 09 011. Then I can send it to you and settle up when you receive it? Just a thought:biggrin:[/QUOTThanks very much for the offer , I strongly agree with the build quality not just on chainsaws but alot of things nowadays, I will keep in touch regarding the 260
  5. O ok that's told me. !!! Good luck with finding what you want.:001_rolleyes:

Sorry if I said something wrong if I did it was unintentional, as for locating a second hand saw it is difficult as people seem to keep hold of things until they die the second hand market is not the same as it is in the uk because people keep hold of things, me personally like (shiny new things)as for bar length it was a genuine question as in a previous message someone said 18 inch for 261 I asked what it was for a 362 so once again sorry if your offended.

  6. Get an older 260 May b 07 up to 010 really good saw you won't be disappointed with the power to weight ratio

O how I have tried to get a 260 over here rocking horse .... springs to mind, I used one at college and loved it.:001_smile:
