thanks for reply guys, i will certainly email u for manual mate that would be great. Removed pump yesterday and rack is def siezed. Dont understand how that happened, but been told that happens to kubota engines. Hopefully being taken to repairer once order number been raised.

im hgv mechanic so no bit about injection pumps, just never came across this paticular set up before, so was looking for some info. Ive removed pump and will take to specialist to check it out. Just looking to see if anyone else had this problem and worked on this engine

Hi im hoping someone could help me with an engine fault on above chipper. It has kubota v1505 engine, manufacrured 1o/o8 and only done 60 hours. What happened was few weeks before christmas in cold spell we had the operator ran out of fuel. He refueled and started, the engine ran for few minute then started over revving and cut out. I went to it two weeks ago, bled fuel and eventually got started, but then it over revved and only way i could stop it was to clamp fuel hose. Suspected injection pump or governor. Instead of getting dealers to have a look my boss has forced me to look at it. Been told it could be rack fault. My problem is i have no manual. I removed pump today and noticed the part of what i think is rack which would touch electric stop soloniod was extremely tight. Had to tap in to allow me to remove ijection pump from casing. Could anyone tell me if this is the fault which causing high engine revs or should this rack be that stiff. Thanks
