Dear Sir,

I viewed that you have 16 acres of oak and ash. I would certainly be interested in the ash if it was suitable for hurley's. If you would like to view my request for ash suitable for hurley's on the Forestry and woodland management thread that would be great.

Kind regards,

  2. Thanks for the advise Mac, I think I'll contact the forestry commission just to see if they have any further suggestions. But as you say, it is probably best to carry on the way we are. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Hi there, I'm looking for some advice on the possibility of investing into a woodland management scheme to help provide a sustainable wood source for a firewood business we run from our farm. We have approx 16 acres of woodland comprising of predominantly ash and oak with good road access. At present we only extract fallen timber that is easy to access, which supplements cordwood that is bought in. However, if our woodland was managed properly we would be able to use a greater proportion of our own wood whilst maintaing the woodland for the future. I was therefore wondering if there were any schemes/grants that we could benefit from, and the cost/benefit of paying for the woodland to be managed? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Hi there, Im looking to buy 2 Artic loads of cord, preferably 1 load of hardwood and 1 load of soft. Im based in South Glos just outside of Bristol and was just wondering if anyone knew of any wood that is available or contacts in and around this area. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks Wayne
  5. Hi Wtprop3

No message displayed in my inbox. If you were enquiring about the cordwood I'm sorry but it's gone. Thanks anyway.
