  1. My problem is myself really, i have always had a steady job at a tree firm and have been a lead climber for 4 years now. My main gripe is job security. Tis better to have a steady job than no job at all. I would be working mainly as a subbi, but would keep an eye open for private work. Have just spent a small fortune on powerlines tickets but i am loathed to go and do it because the of the job satisfaction. just getting feedback at the moment on peoples thoughts and ideas regarding subbi work. Backpain- what you say is to true about the type of work. but is the job satisfaction better than being in a steady job doing the usual??? Cheers Dave
  2. i guess i mean that as i have always had a steady job the thought of having nothing to get up to worries me a little. its a job security factor. having a steady job is better than having no job at all.
  3. If possible, make friends with a Stihl engineer. I had a similar problem with a 460, but hey, new found friend fixed it. turned out to be a diaphram in the carb round the wrong way.
  4. Hi all I am thinking of going self employed but am worried about the sub contractor market. Any tips or advice would be great
  5. How do you get into the Climbing comps? Are there any in the UK? Is anyone involved with them at the moment?? Help please, Cheers guys and girls.
