What do people use to repair Husqvarna plastic case screw holes when the screw keeps turning ?
-
Probably a blockage in one of the tiny holes in the carburettor, will need a strip down and clean....is there a make and model number of carburettor ?
-
I'm in my late 50s and have early stage, will end up having to pay for the treatment to slow down the condition at some point in the next few years...cannot rely on the NHS for treatment on this one...
-
radiotherapy is another option in earlier stages, have a look at the this website and also the work of Dr John Glees
https://dupuytrens-society.org.uk/treatment-2/dupuytrens-disease/radiotherapy-treatment/
it runs in families as well as being aggrevated by occupation...

found this
https://www.labc.co.uk/news/foundations-clay-soil
the section "The trouble with trees" worth reading, if I was fighting this one I'd probably reference this

Mark, have you got free legal advice on as part of your own home insurance ? From what your post says - the engineers report says the foundations are insufficient...Have the engineer or arborist dug or core drilled any holes in the ground to substantiate aspects of their reports ?

My house is on a concrete raft not strip foundation, I'm talking about the tree not having any effect in my own situation, cracks are small and not subsidence cracks...

My own house is on clay as well, although in recent years cracking is worse...it is not significant and I have a large horse chestnut close to the house...tree is not having any effect

I'd be interested to read the arborist report, tree roots remove moisture from the soil...the further the distance from the house perimeter the ground inside the house gets drier from my experience...the trees roots spread as far as it needs to, to provide anchorage and to search for moisture, nutrients etc...soil types make a difference and other local conditions make a difference...some of these long dry periods we keep experiencing are causing a lot of soil shrinkage and very wide cracking of the soil, my own location seen 1-2 inch soil cracks... houses built on strip foundations bound to experience issues...has any crack monitoring been installed and the situation been monitored over a year or 2 ? Very easy to just blame the tree...

I run a husqvarna pro battery chainsaw and pole saw, (since 2017) both are great cutting stuff less than 10 inch...reasonable performance and battery life...once you step over 10 inch performance and battery life tails off... they get used more than my petrol saws and tend to grab these first...I do like the quietness, less vibration, no fumes etc...But I think it will be a while before a battery saw performs as well as a 50cc pro saw.

Also don't forget it is a conservation area - that means completing a notification of proposed works to trees in a conservation area form and submitting that to your local planning authority.

Someone owns the land, the land registry does not contain a record of every peace of land...many pieces of land are un-registered and ownership still relies on papre deeds. It is the land owners responsibility, the council will only act when the owner cannot be easily traced if it is a danger to the general public in a public accessable area. Most councils have a tree officer who deals with any tree issues in public spaces, try contacting them for advice.

Is there oil in the hydrostatic drive ?

Honda UM mowers are OK for long grass etc, but only 24 inch...not designed to take young trees

Have been very happy with my husqvarna battery saws and other tools in the system, have used with BLI200 and BLI300 batteries...get a decent length of session doing small firewood, pruning etc
-
Do let people know where you are based, it also helps to have an idea of what tickets you possess as well as climbing and how far you are prepared to travel etc...
-
Have owned both Mitox and Ryobi budget petrol multi-tools, both start and run reasonably well, particularly if you can run on Aspen or Motomix
-
Have you serial nos from the Husqvarna power unit, I take it this is a 3120 motor ? Just in case anyone spots a likely candidate online in the next few weeks ?
-
Should be able to run the small woodmizers or other brand that have between 4 and 7,5 kw motors from a single phase supply using a transwave phase convertor or similar without any problems...will need a dedicated circuit breaker feeding the circuit from your distribution board (fuse box)...not difficult to install

Buy a tripod ladder, and then use loppers or secateurs...

If you are having trouble sourcing a Husqvarna saw try some of the North Yorkshire dealers, Gardner Engineering in Scarborough, Steam and Moorland in Pickering, Sam Turner's
-
My go too saw is my battery husqvarna 536 LiXP which I've been using for 5 years...only bring the petrol stuff out if there's a lot of thick timber to cut and need the extra power
-
Rebuild it...if you really really love it...!!!

Not the bar studs, the screws that hold the 2 halves of the plastic case together on battery saws
