It’s a 2008, only done 1270 ish (from memory).
It’s been our back up chipper for four years but probably only gets used one a month so I’m thinking it’s time for it to go.
It’s been mega reliable. Has the usual rust about the hopper for tw’s of that age.
May need a new anti stress sensor which I’ll sort before I sell.
Looking for £6k +VAT. -
If you have the room for a TW150, I have one that I’ll be selling soon.

I still fairly regularly get told by clients that their surveyor has recommended a staged removal.
I try and explain all the above but they rarely want to take the “risk” -
I hope DBM hire will still be suppiers of predator stump grinder parts.

Get Your Air Landline Number - A Virtual Landline Phone Number for Your Mobile
AIRLANDLINE.CO.UK
A landline number helps a business look professional, trustworthy & established. But getting a traditional wired landline is a hassle and costly. That's why we created Air Landline ™ - a landline number that rings on your mobile! This year I’ll be moving house to a different area code but want to keep my existing business landline number.
I’m wondering whether I need an actual landline connection or to use a service such as Air Landline which diverts business calls to your mobil.
Does anyone have experience of using something like this?

I’m guessing not but I did see many Cordyline resprout from the roots after the beast from the East struck.
I have a client with a Trachycarpus that has outgrown its location and just wondering if there is any chance of it regrowing from if pollarded?

Not Norfolk, every village has at least 3 different smiley transit tree trucks, all undercutting each other
Yes, I get this impression from my regular trips to North Norfolk.
It’s likely that I’ll be moving to the county soon but I have no intentions of starting up there.- 1

No Dan, that one is in Fenstanton but I know that Murry Edwards College has some Pagoda’s so i’ll check those out soon.
-
I think you might have got it there Mick.
I know where there is a Pagoda tree so next time I’m passing I’ll stop and take a closer look for comparison. -
That did cross my mind but I thought that they only have 5 leaflets

Just saws or would you take hedge cutters as well?

I was recently told that any 17mm nut is 45ftlb and any 19mm nut is 65ftlb.

Hi Sam,
I’m not a Tree Officer but as a contractor I spoken to several.
On more than one occasion, I found them thinking that they have the powers of a TO. One lady warden even makes decisions directly with residents in a CA for tree work they request.- 1

Saw this on FB a few weeks back.
Does make you think. I’ve worked on many, many trees next to and overhanging water, last time was only last week and I had that sad story constantly on my mind. -
I think that the premium pump fuel is changing to 95 so basically you’ll be paying the premium price for what is currently standard petrol.

Cheers for that, would you say it's also really stiff compared to your other saws? Maybe I've gotten weak in lockdown but I can see my hand cramping up if I were to put the brake on and off a couple dozen times while also clambering round a tree.
A new genuine spring is only £2.70 so I think I might stick one on the next order just to compare it to what's fitted, I could replace the nylon block with a nylon washer too if that doesn't get me anywhere.
Now you mention it, it is a bit stiffer than say a 200T but nothing that my shovel hands couldn’t cope with.
Sound like yours may be worse than mine. Hopefully a new spring might sort it.
Where do you order your parts from?
Skyland Equipment did well sourcing parts for the 350 a while back but I think they struggled.
Just ordered some 620sx parts from Motoruf but no sign of them yet. -
Yup my thoughts exactly, that's why I thought I'd put it to the hive mind before taking a saw with bits missing from its designed safety system into the woods!
I'm confident it's assembled correctly, its not actually possible to get any of the bits in upside-down or back to front, its been designed such that it can only go together the correct way. I'm also confident that there's no way the brake handle should need this much force to overcome the spring, its quite a job to even get it assembled each time as the spring is so long and hard to compress. The fact I bought it with melted plastics, a broken brake band and knackered chain tensioner makes me think its not impossible the spring might have been replaced with a stiffer one that was about the right size [emoji848]
Shame its old and rare enough I don't know anyone else with one, something like a 201t I know half a dozen of I could try to compare it to, but you don't see the Echos very frequently.
Hi Darkslider,
I have the cs-350tes and it’s my favourite top handle.
The hand guard on mine is also flexible so you get use to pulling back on the half nearest the sprocket side to disengage the chain brake.

Other than the StumpBuster franchise, I only know of two other people who purely did stump grinding, both have now stopped trading.
Most of the tree surgery businesses, with the exception of start ups, have their own machines. -
Hi Arborspective,
In my experiences working within the urban environment, and vacations around England and Wales, I don’t think that there is a massive variation of species in the different parts of Britain.
I’m in Cambridgeshire about 60miles North of London and the common species are Leylandii & Lawson Cypress’s, Sycamore & Maples, Robinia & Gleditsia, Beech, Oaks (English, sessile, turkey, red), Horse Chestnut, Eucalyptus, Ash, Yew and Silver Birch.
We generally get the warmer/dryer weather in the South-East so you also see a lot of Cordyline and Trackycarpus in gardens.
Not a tree but the thing I hate most is Bamboo, and people that grow climbing rose and vines up trees.- 1

Looks toast to me, but soon there’ll be some better saw mechanics than me that will comment.

Does anyone know if there is a design flaw in the 620sx oil pump.
Just about to replace mine for the second time in a fairly short period of time due to a worn flat spot on the gear.
Maybe I’ve got a dodgy worm
So I’m replacing that as well.
