I've just replaced mine. Knock out the 2 roll pins in the cone and remove the lock nuts and it all comes apart quite easily. Bearings aren't standard and will need ordering in. Give Galbraith bros a ring 01732 763637 and they will mail any parts you need

We had heavy duty springs (one inside another) on a 1600 and the brakes worked fine and in my opinion much better than the standard ones

It takes a year to season once split. It burns ok in a woodburner but is best mixed with other wood. It sells for £20 a ton ex wood round here (Kent)

I've run Schliesing Chippers on mogs for 20 years and always on the back. We chip straight into the back and side tip out, works perfectly. I've had a few implements on the front and road junctions and braking become a nightmare. You need to ballast the back.
