I did this through HCC, my tutor has always been happy to answer questions and guidance but you need to ask for it as theres no classroom time.
I agree with the above, I used the notes but my tree books and the internet have been far more valuable.
read the questions first then do reading, at first i read all the material and a lot of it is confusing / unrelated
I can complete a module (5 in total) in about a month and i have young children and a full FULL time job.

Level 2 is more basic than the course info / paper would suggest. The answers only have to be pretty simple and using a lot of diagrams / photos is great and encouraged.
As above who are you doing the course with?
Try and enjoy it and see it as a way of increasing your knowledge not just gaining a qualification, ask questions of colleagues, your local tree officer and nursery owners, tree people are usually helpful and friendly

I had this exact problem it was the belts were a bits slack, tension your drive belts. There are three of them and they need to be pretty tight

Yes weld something to it, i welded a bit of 5mm plate to it and twisted it in a vice and it came out! I'm sure a slide hammer would work too

Hi All
I've had the dreaded dropped valve on my 4-mix hedge trimmer. It's damaged one of the valve guides but they are not available as a spare part.
Does anyone have a scrap engine I could use for spares? Or could anyone press a valve guide out and post to me?
Cheers guys

It was of a 'dfsk' loadhopper, not the best quality but nowt a few hours on the mig welder can strengthen up.
My plan is to widen it by adding 3x2 box along the sides then make a new tailgate + add high sides,
Looks ok tho I think

I like that. How much did it cost?
Cheers! I did it all myself,
body/chassis was £200
Light board £35
Lights £150
Arches £51
The rest was nuts and bolts, angle iron etc.

Our 150 anti stress stopped working and the issue was the belts were not tight enough, they need to be VERY tight!
Try that

While working on one job a lovely lady. 84 (they do like to tell you their age) asked what's the procedure for cutting a tree down ? I said I'll look at it give you a price then if you are happy we can arrange a date!
Quote accepted tiny job so did it while we were there, real custard donuts ( bakers not Gregg's rubbish) tea and even a chew for the dog!
Really friendly happy couple paid cash and £5 extra for a beer! Made my day

Looks like a "proper" tractor! Can I ask, what sort of money did you pay for it?
Hi, it's quite a size 70 bhp! Needs attention ie battery, tyre / tube, and an oil leak sorting but a steal at .... £1200 I never would have considered an air cooled machine until this came our way but its ace!

New Defender
in Arb-Trucks

internationally it will hopefully be a big hit, the UK is a tiny market compared to Africa, Australia, middle east, America and even Europe the Toyota land cruiser has been the vehicle of choice for many of them as it does what a defender does more reliably and more comfortably.... this really could be a world beater
