  1. Hi there, I currently have about 10 tonns of unprocessed rounds that need splitting. I would like to hire a splitter for 1-2 days. I've looked around but no one seems to have any to hire at the various hire branches local to me, or are quite small ones. Some are quite large oak rounds so it needs to be a meaty one. It could be PTO, or three phase powered if that helps. I'm based in Chingford, very north London, just by the M25 junction 26. Cheers theo
  2. Im resurrecting this thread to ask the question of how possible would it be for me to get insured on a stove I make myself. My stove design (not a bodge gas bottle) is good and my wielding skills are fine, though I'm not coded (personal liability). I will install it to regulations but Im wondering what you hetas guys have to say about home made stoves, or point me in a good direction. What are is the procedure for old second hand stoves and insuring them? The reason i want to make it myself, is that it is to heat a massive warehouse room, and i simply cannot afford a suitable sized stove of the kind needed that one can commercially buy. I'd rather spend the money I did have on buying quality materials and things like proper flue than get something small and lame. be very keen to hear thoughts regards theo
  3. I'm Wanting help with diagnosing what's wrong with my shtil ms260. Having it been working fine now it will fire fine with the choke on, but as soon as you pull the trigger it kills it straight away. Any ideas? Theo

    346xp

Hi I was recently given by a friend a 346xp, to which I thought great! However opon it not starting and owing over everything I thought I could change I admitted defeat and took it to a husky dealer. They have now got back to me saying it will cost 340 pounds to fix, and that it needs a new cylinder and piston. this seems pretty steep to me. A glance on eBay reveals that these parts can be brought for £60x, but are replica parts, not the real deal. Has anyone had any experience in buying such parts and should I get a professional to replace them or is it possible to have a crack myself. I'm based currently in north Devon, but am often in London. Thanks Theo
