If they are getting their CS 30&31 38&39 and 13k a year and only working a 38 hour week then I would be VERY happy to be in their position:thumbup1:

No problems, to be honest I would go straight with andrew in proclimber. I did my cs30 &30.2 (basic maintanance and cross cuting) which was 2 days and then I went back 2 weeks later to do cs 31 (felling small trees) which was 3 days. The course is normally a five days but if you give them a call and explain your shift patterns they will sort something out.
Im waiting to do my cs38 & 39 around november which I will be doing up there. As for theory im just sucking up whatever I can off anyone who is willing to teach me:biggrin:

Hi Al, Im in swansea and there are three places to my knowledge for the practical, the best is a company called pro climber in abergorlech ( just behind llandeilo) and he is out and out the best, then you have colleg sir gar (camarthen college) who i did mine with which are ok but cheaper but not by much. And finally is pencoed college which is near bridgend.
As for theory based learning there is very little down this way as far as i know. I have been looking to better my theoretical knowledge and distance learning is the only way I could find anything worth studying. If you just want to learn more about it all then you have hit a gold mine of info here to be fair to the boys
Im still fairly new to it all and its a job where you wont stop learning till the day you retire I think!
Good luck and if I can help with anything let me know

I know the feeling you can't wait to get out there and climb! because lets be honest we all love it, but the best thing to do is ask any of the boys on here who are local to you if they can spare an hour or two to take you climbing somewhere where so if you get in the s#@t the can help/direct you.
Mabey you could swap a days labour for it? someone here will have a stump you can fell or a few small trees you can practice on:thumbup1:
can't falt your enthusiam but try reign in in a little

Hi,
Im looking for any work in swansea/southwales temp or full time. I have my cs30/31 experience with chipper/grinders/diggers with references. Im looking to become a climber I can already climb and branchwalk and have done a fair bit of work with a silky but I need a bit of mentoring as I still have to ask the occasional question:blushing:
Im looking for work but If anyone can offer me anything to help me improve my cv then im intrested! I have a full driving liscence and 4x4 so i can get to most sites.
Any suggestions on how to improve my cv are welcomed! anyone intrested I can send my cv and a covering letter to explain things in more detail.
Thanks all!
