  1. Its very hard to say without literally doing it. Essentially its probably the value of the kit and a bit of good will which would arbitrarily be based on turnover.

If I was starting up over again I would buy a business, take on the debt and hit the ground running. I was surprised when a local guy to me sold up a good business and had no takers.

  2. Somewhere between the two above imo. Too low and the root rock is too great and too high the stem doesn't learn strength. Depends a bit on the elasticity of the material used for the slings and whether you use 2 or 3 stakes. A bit of judgement is always required.

  3. I've got a 460 and a 660 and has run both with my 24 Alaskan. Using normal bars. Definitely happier running the bigger saw and always worry about chains getting dry. I would say don't push it and 24" would be maximum on a 461 but just my opinion there are some far more experienced guys above. The Alaskan is great and will hold value so a good investment

  4. Evening all

After what must be 10 years of putting up with the spikes rotating around my legs and bruising my calves I'm now a bit fed up and want to replace the tops.

Anyone fitted good replacements? Not sure if I need an insert. Old ones didn't have them. Pretty sure they are buckinghams. Attachment loop thing looks pretty common -

    TIA
