  1. Prestreched I can understand but is the blued steel any real advantage?

I thought it just gave a minimal protection against rust as in gun barrel bluing.

Or is it some other process by the same name?

It is an anti corrosion process. It makes the chains last longer. Something we have added more recently.

  2. Have tried them, wasn't overly impressed when was branded piranha, gave the chains a second chance and I've got one on my 550xp at the moment and it's fine and will buy more. I just don't think they're a better chain than others and the video was a bit misleading

Thank you for giving them a second chance. I am glad you are happy with the improved Rotatech chains. You are welcome to test the differences yourself. We developed this chain to be of a high quality and to sell it at a reasonable price. We don't want to mislead people. This is an independent video. When they made it they got this result. It isn't like a TV advert, where actors are paid to say something.

  3. Agreed, I haven't used this chain so will not knock the product. I have used one cheap brand chain and only one when we were really stuck for one and it was all we could get,..it was useless and based on that would not buy another.

I can honestly say in over 40 years of cutting I have had no issues with major brand chains, apart from the odd one needing a rub when new, bearing in mind when I first started a lot of fallers used waste oil for chain lube it kind of speaks for itself.

Theres nothing , apart from a saw that is a pig to start, that pisses me off more than a bad chain.

Wow you have a lot of experience in the trade. The Rotatech chain is distinct from the cheap chains. It is low in cost, but not in quality. This is because we cut out the middle man by developing and selling our own chainsaw chain. The chain's quality is evident from the images of it.

We are that sure of the chains quality, there is a 100% money back guarantee.

  4. I think it detracts from the brand. It's one thing to compete on price, another to make out it's far superior to well established products that we all know perform well on the basis of this video

You are always welcome to make your own video. Different customers will always experience different things and have different opinions. In our previous video, the customer said the chains were the same [ame]

The only way you can really know, is to try them for yourself. We offer a 100% money back guarantee. So there is nothing to lose. By not trying them, you would be missing out on substantial savings.

  5. For what its worth?

I bought 2 x rototech chains at the apf,for my 372 with 24 inch bar on.

I had a specific job in mind, ringing and splitting a lime which had a butt of 4 foot diameter,i guessed there might be metal or stone inside so didnt want to sacrifice a new oregon chain.

Sure enough i soon hit something, and lost edge completely it took a triple sharpening to remove the damage(big loss of chrome)but the rotatech seems to have come through it and is now ringing up nicely again.

It cost me £20 for the pair of chains ,which i thought was good value for how they perform.

Ideal for certain jobs and good enough for most users.

Thank you for the positive comment. I am glad to hear that you have been saving money with the Rotatech Chainsaw Chains. We have been hearing lots of good things about our files recently. They are really good for our chains. You can see our range here, Files & Filing Kits - Northern ARB Supplies

  6. Are these just rebadged piranha chains? If so, I wasn't overly impressed with the chains on smaller saws. Don't know what the 3/8 ones would be like.

Yes, however there has been a lot of improvements to the chains in the last year. They are still much cheaper than the other quality chains. They now have blued steel, and are pre stretched. We are that sure that you will be happy with them, we offer a 100% money back guarantee.

  7. Do you sell on Amazon marketplace?

I'm very lazy when it comes to buying things. I don't do PayPal since getting my account hacked a couple of years back.

I would buy a couple to try if you did!

    Hi Richard,

I'm sorry to hear you got hacked. Paypal have extremely strong security now, but I understand your concerns.

You can buy using your card - via Sage Pay on our website. rotatechsawchain.co.uk

You can buy through Amazon here, [ame]https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rotatech/pages/10563843031[/ame]

If you have any problems, please let me know.

    Thanks,

What do you think of the video? Has it convinced you to go to rotatechsawchain.co.uk and buy high quality Rotatech chainsaw chains? It is exactly what your business is missing.

  9. Timber Man, thank you for reading the blog post more than once. I really do appreciate that. You have a fantastic memory. If you have any ideas for further videos, that would be great.

The video was made by an enthusiastic customer. I was excited, I wanted to hear people's thoughts and I posted it with the information I had as soon as I could. I have taken your comments into account and improved the article. Something great about blogging is that as comments come through we can improve things. The video was already fantastic and now the post is right?

It is actually at great controlled test, from a scientific point of view. We have a null hypothesis, a control test, conducted by third parties, on the same piece of wood, using the same oil and similar equipment. Outside lad conditions, there are always variables that can't be controlled.

Have you tried the chains at all? I can see you are quite interested in them. What would convince you?

  10. Chain on the right seems a little dull - and why be shy about it - come on 'leading brand' = ????????

    :laugh1::laugh1:

The Rotatech is new to the game. He is the unexpected winner. Overcoming the odds. In the end it was down to pure strength, durability, and very being sharp. Let's not forget the blued steal, which really gave him the edge.

  11. The saw on the right keeps bogging down, is that the saw or the user? I think if he didn't lean on it so much it would cut quicker.

    Hi Kevm,

It is a real life test. Both men are professionals, experienced working with chainsaws. As many variables that can be reasonably controlled have been. They actually did a couple of different tests and the Rotatech was quicker than the leading brand.

  12. Well I seriously doubt that I will ever use them again after last times charade & this weeks abysmal 'customer service'.

I'd still be waiting for my call back if I hadn't chased them up. I know the APF is on but I ordered something from fr Jones at the same time, which won't be here until after the N. A. S order but they have kept me informed all the way. So thumbs-up to jonesy & to N. A. S - sort it out!

    Hi inthewoods,

I am sorry you have had a bad experience. Please send me your customer number and we will find out what has happened with your order.
