Not going to use one on our processor. I don't mind the chains but they don't carry oil around the bar as well as other chains and so get more bar ware. Have to dress the bar on the Farmi quite enough as it is.
I am sorry you had a problem. The customer that shot this video didn't have any problems with oil being carried around.
Our lubrication features are just the same as the leading brands. If you do have a problem, it is worth sending the chain back and we will either refund you or replace the chains.

Ordered one for mine.
Will you be doing bars too?
Fantastic! If you have time, we'd love to see a video of you using the chain.
Regarding bars, yes we have been talking about bringing out bars for Wood Processors in the future.

Our latest video. The Rotatech chain cutting with ease on a Farmi Wood Processor.
Thanks Johnathan from Logs4U for sending this video. They have been in the industry for 25 years. They are well impressed with the performance of Rotatech Chains.

I m off my feet currently because of cellulitis ,unfortunately I was planning on going to Lamma next week which is a agricultural trade show. Anyhow I was wondering if there are any trade shows where I could look at chainsaws log splitters and log saws but the smaller sized kit .Hopefully when I m back on my feet I would like a look .Many thanks Ian
Hi, we are at Lamma. Rich and Simon are there to talk about Rotatech chainsaw accessories. We have chains, bars and files. They haven't brought log splitters, however they are happy to talk to you about them and you can buy through us.

Can anyone confirm if the rotatech 1/4" chains fit the stihl ms150?
Hi Greg,
I am sorry, we don't currently do chains for the MS150. We are looking into it though. If you check back every few months, we might have them.
-
Why do you claim they are harder than other chains (and need one of your files) when mine and others experience is that they are made of softer metal
Hi Burgess,
Different files will of course be different. I suggest people try the Rotatech files if they find their usual files get damaged. I do this because it answers the common questions about files getting damaged when sharpening Rotatech chainsaw chains. Not all customers experience this, because they might already be using good files.
Great that you haven't had trouble sharpening your chains. You probably have better quality files already. The chains are made of hard metal, which when performance tested can cut through nails.

New product from Rotatech. We would love to hear your thoughts.
Our reasoning for bringing out the Chainsaw Adviser is to help customers that need replacement chainsaw chains, but don't know the spec. It will help you measure the Pitch and Gauge.
When you order the adviser, you will get a discount code for £2.99. This will give you your money back on your next chain purchased with us.
The tool measures the pitch (distance between two points on the chain) and gauge (thickness of drive link).
Video demonstration is
Have you tried it? Would you try it? Any other thoughts?

Hi all,
Thanks you for all the comments and reviews. The chainsaw aren't variable. It is more to do with the wood people use and their individual experiences. They are a good quality chains. The low costs is due to us being the seller and supplier and therefore not having a middle man taking a cut.
-
Thanks for your reviews. It is certainly an interesting product. It sounds annoying that the loops are slightly smaller than some of you would have liked.

Got to give mine a better test the last couple of days. Ringing up big old oak. Can't really fault the chain and worked as well as an Oregon.
That is great to hear. Thank you for your review. Once you have tested them on the oak, it would be great if you could share with people your experience.

Ordered a pair last Thursday, not turned up yet, hoping to get them before the week is out.
Hi, please can you private message me your order details. Ideally order number and postcode. We aim for next day delivery, so it is worth us taking a look and checking they are on their way.

Hi R Mac,
Thank you for your review. The chains now come pre-stretched. The chain you had might have been from a previous batch. Some people do find the chains do strech a little, as they do with other quality chains.
Glad you seem happy overall. Hopefully you find them ok to sharpen. You might find your files get worn out quickly. If you do, we recommend our Rotatech files, Chainsaw Chain Files by Rotatech - Northern ARB Supplies

Which rotatech bar would I need for my WP30?
The chain is 325 1.5 72
Sorry we don't do bars for WP3 at the moment.

i might have a couple but not sure if its those chains or oregon, i,ll get a vid done next time
That would be amazing. We love videos.

i got several chains from yourselves a while back , ive run them not a huge amount so far but have been on 262 xp 562 xp and 372 xp all of them did stretch a little but all needed just one tighten up , dont dull any worse than the oregons i used previously , a few days ago i hit a nail in a bit of Pine and burred over about 10 teeth so i swapped to another saw and then sharpened it that night on my grinder , used the 562 today and took down 2 20 inch pines and blocked them up, still flying big chips , happy chap so far
That is great to hear. Would be nice to see a video of you chopping some large pines, using the chains.

Just tried a full chisel chain on my MS460 with 25" bar. Must admit to not expecting much but to be fair the chain is very good. Not as long a tooth as a Sthil chain but not by much and it cuts pretty much as well. Held it's edge very well with usual amounts of stretch for a new chain. Best bit £21 for two chains. Time will tell but first impressions are very good for the money
Glad to hear you are happy with them so far. I am sure you will continue to be happy with them.

Really interesting post. Getting the correct footwear and replacing them when they are worn is really important.

Ordered a load of chains for different saws 560 261 and 441 the lads seem to like them and at half the price can't complain

Hi Johnny,
That is great to hear. Did you know that we also do files and oil from the same range?
The full range is here, Rotatech - Professional Chainsaw Chains and Accessories

AFAIK
Saturn machine knives and Northern arb are the same company.
Saturn do the blades, grinder teeth etc, NAS do the arb stuff. No big deal.
Yes, well put.
-
I ordered some chains for our firewood processor, they seemed to stretch the same as normal chains (I thought they were pre stretched) but they cut as well as oregon/husqvarna and cost half the price so as long as they last between sharpens I'll be buying a lot more. Ours arrived within 2 days and I ordered late at night.
Regarding the post above I assume Saturn machine knives is an old trading name as it was the same for me.
Thanks for your honest review. I am glad to hear you are happy with them. Oregon and Husqvarna's chains are also pre stretched. We make a point telling people, because our low price makes people assume that Rotatech aren't.

I've recently ordered some chains which arrived the next day so all fine. However the bar I ordered the day after hasn't arrived. Credit card came up Saturn machine knives instead of northern arb supplies. What's going on please Nicola.
Hi,
I am sorry for the confusion. I just wanted to confirm what 2 people have said already. Saturn Machine knives (Wood Chipper Blades, Knives,Anvils,Stump Grinding Teeth - Saturn Machine Knives) is our parent company. They manufacture and sell a wide variety of machine parts including chipper blades and stump grinders. Northern Arb is the trading name used for our shop that sells Arb gear. Both sell products under the brand Rotatech.
I hope that clears things up.
If your bar hasn't arrived, please private message me your order details and I will find out what has happened.
Best regards,
Nicola

Hi Little Al,
Thank you for your honest review. We are really sorry about the delays both from the delivery company and then us running out of those chains. Our chains are increasing in popularity at a fast rate, which is why we had run out. This is something we are working on.
We haven't heard about the jamming issue before. Please keep us updated as this is not something we want to happen.

Yeah I know I could send me back but at about 7 quid a piece it's hardly worth it.
Sent from my SM-N910F using Arbtalk mobile app
Hi Ian,
If you still need the right chains, you might as well return them and get them swooped for the correct size. Totally up to you of course.
Just send them with the order details and the correct chain you need.
Best regards,
Nicola
