  1. My horse chestnut (medium fell) at college: my tutors told me i was to fell it into the pit!!!!!!!!

  3. This is all private work for family friends and people i know very well. I'm currently at college doing a National Diploam in arb, i havn't yet found a part time work experience placement so friends allowing me to practise and have the experience on trees they want down i feel grateful.
  4. i had people standing either end of the road ensuring there were no cars able to get passed.
  5. Blakes: yeh i did clear the saw dust, would have been lazy not to!!!! hamadryad: no i don't think a tree firm had reduced it before, may have just been the owner.
  6. thats how it was when i started, i dropped it all onto the grass, didn't touch anywhere near the fence or shed
  7. yeh for some reason they wanted the stump left, unsure why!!!! why you ask?

  13. sorry to say but i was trying out different hitches that i could use to climb on and i some how tied this one aswell as you but i don't know what its called. it seems to grip very well but sometimes there becomes too much friction on the rope.
  14. yeh althought the Duo harnesses do not have any padding in the leg loops they are suprisingly comfortable
  15. Just wondering on peoples views of the Austrian duo 3 harness. I bought one late last year and im getting on with it really well. Ive done a few private jobs with it and have also done alot of recreational climbing in it.

  17. i'm looking at buying a chainsaw. At the moment ive only had a go with a few different saws, ive also asked a couple of people of their views on which is the best ground saw. From what ive tried out myself and taking in concideration of other peoples opinions i have chosen to go for either a Stihl MS 260 or a Husqvana 357 XP. Have i made the right choise and which should i choose?

  19. thanks for the advice both of you. ive been sending out CV's and letters to people all over norfolk and ringing them but ive had no luck with any of them. i'm willing to do anything that will help me towards getting my qualification and also experience in arboriculture. many thanks again for the advice!!!!!!!!
