  1. Hi guys, need your advice on what your thoughts are on the wather at the moment. My problem is that my boss regularly rings me up and tells me that there is no work for today (because of the weather). im from the south midlands area and we've managed to survive the heavy snowfalls but obviously the temperature has dropped and its bitterly cold. Are you guys stopping the climbing at the moment because of the cold? Dont get me wrong i would love to lie in bed and keep warm but we've got to earn money. Whats the rules / law in this situation is he taking the micky!!! Its becoming a habit. cheers guys.
  2. hi, ive been thinking about the future and wondered what i could do once i start to feel the aches and pains of tree climbing. was wondering if its worth gaining a loler inspection ticket and doing a bat survey course and starting a mini business offering that as my service. Ofcourse i wouldnt be relying on those two things as a steady income. I would also offer my ervices in the odd freelance climb and other buts and bobs. any views?
  3. 24 years old, been working in arboriculture for 3yrs and climbing for 18months. I have cs30,31,38 and 39. Recently gained my cs41 in rigging. Been doing it for longer though so im comfortable and confident in it. I dont curruntly live in the west midlands area but want to move back there so im ideally looking for full time permanant work. Ive already contacted both acorn and beechwood but acorn never get back to you. I drive but do not have a trailor ticket, although im looking into gaining it so i could probably recieve it before i moved to any company in the midlands. thanks
