Thank you for the replys and for the link, After looking through the pictures on the website Guignardia leaf blotch looks like the most likely thing. I will try and get some photos up asap. If it is Guignardia leaf blotch is it fatal?

Hi, I'm up in the central belt of Scotland and recently I have been noticing more and more horse chestnuts not looking too good. The leaves are starting to go brown and curl up and many branches looking weak. I've noticed the bark starting to curl up and fall off as well. Any ideas? Cheers Richard

Thank you for all your replies, I think Richard's chassis win at the moment and they seem to be £500 cheaper than what the garage were quoting me, they will be getting a call very soon. As for stretching it to a 130, well that doesn't sound too bad and would be a huge advantage to me so I will be asking the garage to quote me for doing that. Tipping it well that's the ultimate want really, I get annoyed with myself for not understanding how hydrolics work etc. I would love it to be able to power a hydrolic winch and log splitter as well but just tend to get confused with the figures and jargon! Will speak to the garage about it. As for the tipping gear being bolted on well that's good news, dew will be getting a call as well. Getting waxoiling your chassis guys so you don't end up like me with all this work needing to get done! Rich

Hi, Right i'm going to be fitting a new chassis to my landrover 110 hicap. I'm trying to source a cheap galvanised one and I have a few questions for the group to see if I can get some help please. Easier if I just list them! Where to buy a chassis from?, the cheapest so far is marshlands at £1790 inc vat and delivery. Can I easily convert it to a 130 without loads of problems? I want it to be a tipper if I can but only if the tipping parts can be bolted on not welded, can they? If so where to buy the hydraulics from? The work is going ahead at a garage (So all profesional, i'm not atempting this myself!) Thank you for any replies Richard

Hello, I recieved my Alaskan mill the other day, (thank you Rob for a prompt service) I'm about to start milling some spalted beech I have and i'm looking to build my own kiln. I don't have room for an old freezer box so I thought I would insulate a shed I have. My question is what size of dehumidifier should I buy? The shed isn't too big, about 5' wide by 10' long and around 6' high. Should I buy as big as I can afford? My budget is around £200. Or can I get away with a smaller one? Also is there a book on the subject anyone can recommend? Any help would be great or links to other relevant threads (I have done a search!) Cheers Richard

Hi, I was called up the oher day by said company, I looked at the website and saw that there was a few other tree surgeons in my area, after looking at the website some more you can see that they have a reveiw option where you can rate on a star system or write a reveiw. My question is does anyone else on here use it? and is it just me or does their star rating system and reveiws open up for real abuse? Rich

Puzzled monkey in perth went bust, there is Scotish grass machinery in Rosyth has a small selection and there is one in Kilsyth but I can't remember the name. I drive to Gustharts myself from Edinburgh it doesn't take very long.
