  1. Got the makita 5000 running great, i put all the makita 5000 parts onto  dolmar 5105 crankcases and tank, then it started first pull!!!

I never used any parts from the dolmar 5105 that you sent me Andrew, so now i have a Dolkita.

Hello Mark there not available anymore I try too pick them up if I see them come up

    got customers waiting for them

Hi Pulled one out of a 114 parts saw. Perfect fit on the 120 super.

Stuck now for a recoil pulley for a 7901 Makita, looked at buying one from Germany and the postage is 19 euros and the pulley is 12 euros. so that,s not going to happen. Who in the uk will stock one and post it?

  4. Hi i,m having problems trying to start a Makita DCS5000, it,s got 170 psi compression, it,s got fuel and it has a good spark. Every 25/30 pulls it may cough or a little backfire. Woodruff key is ok on the flywheel. The original flywheel snapped it,s key and i,ve replaced it with a good flywheel, perhaps it backfired and snapped the key, like the timings wrong. I,ve tried a  different coil and it,s still the same, both coils have a good spark, the saw is a non runner that i bought.

I,m thinking the coils may break down under compression or some how the timing is wrong.

  5. Hi are brakebands for a Dolmar 120 super still available.

                                                                cheers Mark.

  6. I use a patu on the rear of a tractor in the smaller  thinnings, on jobs with a lot tonnage to forward i use my Osa 250 to forward and smaller jobs use a tractor and forwarding trailer, setup works well, looking at fitting the Patu onto the rear of the Osa to give me a better seating position and more hydraulic flow.

  7. I,m interested in roof mount tractor and driven trailer, are they any good for real forestry not arb, How stable are they, easy to use? Thinking of replacing our forwarder with a tractor based outfit, as i,m working for the next 10 years in a large woodland that,s 2 miles from our yard, Been in the North east we can,t leave machines in the woods because of all the thieves/poachers, so i,m thinking tractor based so i can drive to site each day. Thoughts and ideas, thanks Mark. couple of photo,s of delimber tractor and forwarder.

  8. I,ve got a 10 hectare clear fell to do nice sized pine at least a ton, ton and a half a tree. Hand felling and stroke delimber and extract. wondering how much a ton. They are not using harvester and forwarder as machines left on site get damaged by the locals, our tractor based outfit can roll up each day and work and return to our yard 3 miles away, in the past i,ve always bought the standing timber, so tonnage rate is new to me. The extraction is very easy as well.
