    Timberluver: how do you find the 4230 hydraulics for flow and do you just run it at tickover? I've got one and was going to get a screw splitter but now thinking of getting I've of the Harrows R Us splitters off eBay.

    I've been offered about 8T of sycamore all of which is between 10 and 20" so it would have to be cut by hand This would be for personal use and would be split by hand, although I've got a tractor and am tempted to get a splitter for it given the volume. What would be a fair price delivered to my house?

    I've just put in a Clearview Vision 500 which I bought off ebay. It looked a bit ropey but after a wirebrush, respray, new baffle, rope seals and firebricks it's looking like new (but about £400 less!) - belting out a massive amount of heat. I know a few people with Clearviews and they all love them. Thinking about another one for the middle of the house now which would cut down on the oil bil a lot!
