  1. I’ve just had 300m stock fencing done , green sheep netting and 2 rows of barbed wire, telegraph pole strainers in each corner and a strainer post on every bend where needed £8.50 per meter, bloke and his lad did it in two days , made a really decent job .

  2. £70 cube would work back to £63 per tonne for larch saw log's which is not far of the mark may be a bit steep but haulage distance will reflect on price. Where selling dry windblown spruce and lodgepole pine @ £1100 + haulage full wagon and drag weight will be around 20 tonne ish .

Hi , I would be interested in a load , could up Pm me some details, or number to discuss, cheers
  3. Take a look at the kubota BX range, you can get them with a mid mounted cutting deck, and they have rear PTO, 3PL, drawbar etc for running flails / rotovators , spools for tipping trailers and log splitters , well worth a look and you'll probably find a decent second hand one with your budget.

  4. I have about 24 sycamore rings of between 25 and 30 inches by about 9-10inches and a 10ish foot length that are too big for my splitter and are currently getting in my way. I don't have the time to deal with them and they are starting to get in the way, so if anyone wants them they can have them if they collect, basically for free(but if you wanted to give me a couple of quid I wo say no!). I reckon there is about 5 ton in weight and I can load onto tippers and trailers (not lorrys) with my digger. Thanks, William.

    Where about scare you located??

  5. It works well, I may try offering a processing service, but its not fun to drive down the country lanes.

    What processor is that? 350??

I move my 280 on a small low loader towed by my tractor, the elevator doesn't really fold up enough in transport position to make it handy enough to move on the Front or rear 3point linkage.

  6. Jas p make their own to fit the Posch conveyor, it works ok and filters most of the trash, certainly to an acceptable level. The posch rotating type is crazy money if I remember rightly.

You can just about make it out in this picture...

Your living the dream there Tom D with that set up!

  7. Hi all. Got my hands on a pto hydraulic pump shes a dowty pump. 100cl. Thought it would power my splitter. Hooked it up and put the tractor in the 1000 shaft on the pto. Tried to split timber and doesnt seem to be buildind pressure. When she does after 15sec shel rev the engine on the tractor. The oil on the return is a wee bit foamy going back in to the return tank. When I toke the pipe off the tank noticed that it wasnt a solid flow of oil, more spitting it back. The pump I was told can return between 20-25 lpm so more than enough I think.

Does anybody know what the problem is?:confused1:

Sounds like its drawing air in on the suction side off the pump somewhere check the pipework and the connections and make sure everything airtight.also make sure the return pipe is big enough to take the flow of oil bigger the better:thumbup1:
