  1. Here is a link to the one we have. We have it attached to a 16 tonne excavator. We used to have it on a rotovator but snapped this in half so now have it attached to the quick hitch. It's out on hire at the moment!! Westtech woodcrackers - wood-cleaving

    Cedar felling

This site is where we are based. We have our yard there so will chip on site and store the chip in one of the barns to dry out.
  3. Thanks, it was minus 8 at the time and my hands were frozen standing there with the camera waiting to get that picture. It was worth the frostbite thank goodness.

    Cedar felling

We have had a good bonfire today with all the brash. Kept us nice and warm in the snow!!
  5. We do have a lunge picture but it's so cheesy!!! I will put it up though. The tree surgeon that felled this tree isn't far of pygmy size actually!!!

    Cedar felling

It was a great sound. The snow cloud when the tree hit the ground was massive. The tree was a Cedar of Lebanon.
  7. We do have one. Thats what we are planning to do with it. They are a very handy piece of equipment.
  8. I'm afraid to say that we are going to chip it. Its no good for anything else because of the cubicle rot. It is a shame though.
  9. It did smell lovely. We were cutting it up today and it was breezy. You could smell the Cedar quite a distance away.
  10. Here are some pictures of the Cedar being felled yesterday. The tree survey found that the tree had cubicle rot so was dangerous and had to be felled as it was next to a house and road. During the snowfall in December it lost 4 large limbs so the owners were concerned that during this snowfall it could possibly lose more.
  11. Sorry I posted this under pictures, I didn't realise that there was a video section. We took this Cedar down yesterday as it had cubicle rot and was next to a house and road and therefor dangerous. I will post up pictures as well. Enjoy!!! 12. It had to be felled because 10 years ago the left hand stem had collapsed leaving a large wound. We had a survey 6 months ago and both main stems at the fork had cubicle rot condeming the tree. As it was next to a house and private road it had to come down.
  13. I'm hoping this link will work of the Cedar we took down today. Hopefully you will enjoy it. We did, especially when the snow cloud from the tree engulfed our teleport!! The butt of the tree measured 9ft. Will post more pics soon. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTALRzHgBps]YouTube - Park Place Cedar![/ame]
  14. This is our new Valtra, we picked it up today!!!
  15. It was a special build from the factory. It's doing this horse power but using less fuel than the T range and it was a lot cheaper than the T range to buy.
  16. No we dont use a crane. We use a 360 digger to load the chipper. We find that its faster as we can chip tree surgery waste with this far easier than a crane. Also then we can use the digger for many different things too.
  17. yes but a bit big
  18. We are back at work next week so will get some pictures posted up then. We pick the Valtra up next week too so will put some up of that too. There are some pictures ofthe chipper with some of our other machines on our website. http://www.gvrecycling.co.uk. We still need to update and finish the website but there is never enough time!!!
  19. To produce this amount we would be chipping softwood logs and poplar. Regarding the power output, we use JD7930's but have just bought a new Valtra 202 producing 280hp, but we have had the tractor chipped to produce this power.
  20. My husband Geoff and I run our own company G V Recycling Ltd. We specialise in Biomass production and large and small site clearances.

  21. Yes, we sell it to both power stations and as dry chip to boilers.
  22. Sorry, no we are not selling it yet!! Just saying what a good machine it is if you are thinking of getting a machine this size. We feed it with a 360. 2500 hours at 90m3 per hour is a huge amount of chip.
  23. I still have it. Its just had a major sevice by fuelwood. When we end up replacing this chipper we will get another 10-500 as we have done 2500 hours of chipping on this machine so far and believe its the best on the market for its money.
  24. I have a 10-500 its 3 years old excellent machime
  25. I had the first 1000 it was excellent but check the drum for stress fracturs we had one collapse
